According to wikipedia, “An N95 mask or N95 respirator is a particulate-filtering facepiece respirator that meets the N95 standard of the U.S. National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health air filtration rating, meaning that it filters at least 95% of airborne particles, while not resistant to oil like the P95”
The short answer to the question is YES, but “Surgical, Cotton Masks Equally Ineffective in Blocking COVID-19 Spread, Say Investigators” so you don’t really need N95 unless you’re much more expose to COVID-19 working at a hospital or somewhere where COVID-19 is actively spreading then you probably need whole face mask N96 shield with hazardous suit.
